Key Scripture During This Video: Hebrews 12:5 (And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you as unto children, My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him:), rebukes of Abraham (Genesis 12:10-20, Genesis 20:1-18)
I noticed that I focused mostly on rebukes in the video but we must approach chastisements in the same way by taking these things to the Lord and tests the spirits. The topic of chastisements is incredibly broad and the Lord can bring correction in any area of our life, in any way He chooses. It’s important to remember that He is the potter and we are the clay. I spent a protacted period (about two years) where the Lord would simply whisper the word potter to me, when I was trying to manage my life.
He is a mighty God who doesn’t show off but He’s looking to bring correction so that we may be partakers of His holiness (See Hebrews 12:10-11). May Jesus open your eyes and draw your heart closer to Him. I stumbled across the wonderful video below from Carolyn Arends on Psalm 5. The Lord will give ear to our words as we cry out to Him.
I also wanted to add him that my career as an impersonator was ended by the Lord, after His rebuke.
